My Nikon D3100 DSLR - Quick review

I was happily using my Fujifilm Finepix S5800 for quite sometime now. Of-late I wanted to upgrade to an entry level DSLR. After some research I ended up buying the D3100. Well for starters I definitely do not regret this decision. The camera is very well built and comes with a loads of features. One great feature which I loved but very rarely use is the "GUIDE MODE". Got the cam on 3rd Feb 2011. Just added a Marumi 52 mount UV filter till now. Future upgrade Nikkor 70-300mm AFS VR lens. Here are some pics of the new camera. One thing which I felt was that unlike my Fuji the LCD monitor of the Nikon is exposed to elements. I don't understand why Nikon would do such a thing when the monitor is fixed. I got a el cheapo 50 bucks hard lcd cover over stick on LCD cover setup for the camera. Seems to work fine. Here's a few sample shots taken with the Nikon D3100:
